Flyers aboard British Airways are set to access quick wifi during flights at no cost due to a major deal with the billionaire's space company.

No-cost plus Fast Wifi Available to Everyone

British Airways announced that this complimentary, “fast and dependable” wifi service through SpaceX is set to be offered to customers in coach, premium economy, or premium cabins starting the coming month.

Broad Implementation Over Multiple Airlines

The umbrella firm for the airline, IAG, stated it had reached an deal with the satellite firm to offer internet access across over 500 planes operated by the group's carriers, including Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, plus Vueling.

Seamless Internet starting at Boarding to Arrival

British Airways stated that this implementation for this service was part of a seven billion pound “upgrade” program that will deliver lag-free wifi access to passengers from boarding to landing, also when in flight above seas and remote regions.

Customers may hook up multiple gadgets while they will not need a special login.

Recent Improvements at BA

In August, the carrier disclosed a jump for earnings during H1 recently, contributing to the parent company profit upward.

IAG is set to announce the earnings for Q3 this summer soon.

Other Satellite Agreements

The airline's update comes days following wireless provider the telecom firm announced it was working with Starlink to improve wireless service across remote areas across the United Kingdom, enabling users to seamlessly link handsets via space-based systems if there is no standard cellular service exists.
